DB Cargo UK has announced it has entered into formal consultation with the train drivers’ union ASLEF regarding a proposal to make several traincrew roles redundant. The news has come as a disappointment to those hoping the UK arm would avoid the job losses recently felt on the Continent. The company says there has been a significant downturn in core markets.
