Combined transport needs political will, and it needs it now
With a negative outlook and losses that will probably not be recovered for the time being, combined transport in Europe could be in a better place. Electricity prices impacting the final product and the overall disruption of supply chains due to the recession and the war in Ukraine are one thing. However, the main challenge for combined transport is still fundamental: capacity allocation and political will for better conditions.
