EU technical workshop on rail freight telematics

The European Union Agency for Railways’ (ERA) 6th Regional TAF TSI workshop in September will provide important new information on the Technical Specification for Interoperability relating to the Telematics Applications for Freight subsystem.

It is being organised in partnership with the Polish Office of Rail Transport, the Estonian Technical Regulatory Authority, Latvian Railways and Lithuanian State Railway Inspectorate. It is designed to be of particular interest to infrastructure managers, railway operators, wagon keepers, service and IT providers from Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

‘Becoming a reality’

The aim is to update rail sector stakeholders on TAF TSI deployment, the IT tools supporting the implementation, the medium and long-term planning and how TAF TSI is becoming a reality in railway operations, thanks largely to the efforts of national authorities. The European Commission and Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) will also participate in the event to endorse the effort made by the companies to implement the system.

It takes place at the Polish Office of Rail Transport’s office in Warsaw from September 12-13. Those wishing to attend should click here to visit the registration page.
