RailFreight Webinar: Intermodal Poland during the corona crisis
Whereas the intermodal volumes in Poland usually show record figures, the market has been unstable for the last few weeks. The coronavirus has impacted the market. First in terms of trade with China, then in terms of supply and demand in Poland, and Europe.
On Tuesday 12 May RailFreight.com organises a webinar themed: Intermodal Poland during the corona crisis. During this webinar expert speakers discuss the impact of the current pandemic on the intermodal market. What is the role of rail freight? And of ports and terminals? What kind of support is needed, and available to keep this vital industry running? What are the expectations for this year and for the near future?
Already confirmed is the representation of the port of Rotterdam, in the person of Gilbert Bal. He works as a business manager logistics at the port, and will talk about the impact of cargo volumes from Rotterdam to Poland by train. Other speakers will be announced later this week.
The webinar is organised in the build up to the RailFreight Summit that takes place on 1, 2 and 3 September in Poznan. This international event was originally scheduled to take place on 11, 12 and 13 May, but was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Some of the speakers on the programme will be heard during the webinar.

The webinar takes place on Tuesday 12 May from 11:00 – 12:00 CET. The webinar is free to attend and can be watched from your own device. You do not need to download anything to watch the webinar. Registration can be completed here.
