Deal signed to expand Trans-Caspian freight corridor

Multimodal operators on the ‘Middle Corridor’ Trans-Caspian international freight route (TITR) have signed a new agreement on expansion of the network.

Representatives of the ports of Kazakhstan, including the Khorgos Gateway dry port on the Chinese border, and the Georgian port of Anaklia met with rail operators KTZ JSC (Kazakhstan Railways) and KTZ Express (Russia) at the TITR headquarters in Astana.

Potential

Levan Akhvlediani, CEO of the Anaklia Development Consortium, spoke about the potential of the international seaport of Anaklia, before an agreement was signed the mark the entry of Port Kuryk in Kazakhstan to the TITR. Zurab Abashidze, Senior Diplomat to the Georgian government, oversaw the signing of documents.
