Ports in Europe have been increasing their investments in rail all over the continent. How can the rail freight industry tap into this potential? How do port and rail connect and what more needs to be done to improve this connection? These questions are being answered during the RailFreight Connects event in Bremen on 6 and 7 September 2023. Registration for this event is now possible.

Synergies between rail and port infrastructure, rolling stock management and new technologies are the main topics at RailFreight Connects. In addition, there will be masterclasses on more specific topics such as sanctions and customs and non-cranable loading techniques. Speakers from all over Europe will provide their insights on these topics and more.

Twin event

What is unique about this summit is that it is a twin event. It is hosted simultaneously with the Project Cargo Summit, an industry event catered towards the project cargo and break bulk industry. Participants of both events will meet on several occasions and can attend breakout sessions of both events.

In this way, participants of the RailFreight Connects event can attend a breakout session about port congestion and labour shortage, or about the food chain of logistics, where we discuss the impact of ever-larger ships on the supply chain at large. During the networking sessions, visitors of both events will mix and match.

Registration now open

Registration for the event is now open and can be done here. The event will be held in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bremen. On the website, the preliminary programme can be found and new speakers are added by the week.
