RailFreight Summit, the flagship event for rail freight professionals in Central and Eastern Europe, is preparing for its 7th edition. The event will take place between 15-17 April 2024 in Warsaw, Poland. This year’s main theme, “Accelerating Central Europe Connections,” will focus on how the CEE can optimise its rail transport role by grasping existing and emerging opportunities.

Despite the various challenges of the past few years, European rail has repeatedly demonstrated its resilience. The industry is in a transitional phase, with major infrastructure projects either in the implementation stage or nearing completion, creating new opportunities. The same applies to EU-level policies that have the potential to transform the European rail transport sector.

With RailFreight.com’s agenda for the new year already shaping up, the flagship event RailFreight Summit 2024, could not be missing. Registrations are already open, so do not miss the chance to reserve your place ticket and make use of the special offers that are in place. Simultaneously, don’t forget to submit your points of interest and discussion through the event’s call for papers, which will continue running until 15 December.

The rail logistics sector is doing business as usual and keeps growing. But to foster such growth, assessing some of the sector’s best practices and seeing what steps lie ahead is essential. How will the TEN-T revision impact transportation in the CEE and further? What will the integration of Rail Baltica bring forward for companies in the Baltic and Scandinavian regions?

Moreover, how is infrastructure developing in the area, and how can Poland function as a hub for its neighbouring countries even during disruptions? Finally, how has the industry performed in 2023, what lessons did it learn, and how will it proceed in 2024? These and more questions will be answered during the conference programme.

Conference and more

As mentioned, the RailFreight Summit 2024 will take place between 15 and 17 April 2024 in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. On the evening of 15 April, a welcoming reception with drinks will be held so that delegates can acquaint and network with each other before the official programme starts.

On 16 April, we will kick off the event’s conference programme at Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel. The conference day will include plenary and breakout sessions, networking breaks and drinks, while it will close with a seated, multiple-course networking dinner.

The event will end on 17 April with a site visit in one of Warsaw’s key logistic locations. The conference programme is already shaping up. More information about the full conference programme and site visit will be announced soon, so keep an eye on the event’s official website and don’t forget to block your agendas and register already.
