Is Italy running the risk of remaining logistically isolated?

Italy is experiencing significant disruptions in the transport and logistics sector, especially the rail freight industry, due to natural calamities and other disruptions. The country is currently somehow logistically isolated from all its neighbours in the north: France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. “I spoke to various big terminals in Italy and some of them are talking about volume losses in the double digits”, said Giuseppe Rizzi, FerMerci’s General Director.
