Northampton’s new freight tunnel: first time through and we’re on board

Nothing less than a gateway to connectivity. Northampton’s new railway tunnel will eventually be buried beneath a monumental landscaping project. For now, it’s a naked example of the engineering behind realising the Strategic Rail Freight Terminal that’s about to transform the logistics performance of the region. Never mind the drone flight overviews, this is a tunnel, and we’ve done what’s meant to be done with a tunnel – travelled through it.
