Germany and England connected by new direct rail freight service

This week sees a new direct rail freight service launched to connect Cologne with Barking, in the east of Greater London. The new weekly service, with ambitions to rise to a daily train, is operated by TX Logistik. Technically, the service marks a milestone for UK operations. It will be the first time that the versatile T3000 pocket wagons will be seen in regular rail service in Britain.
