Irish pharma firm takes to the rails for export traffic

The Irish outpost of Baxter International, a leading multinational pharmaceuticals and healthcare producer, has initiated the shipment of their products by rail from their Castlebar site in County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. Initially, the company is utilising the Irish Rail freight facility at Ballina, approximately 40 kilometres from their site. The company has dispatched multiple containers carrying lifesaving medical products destined for various locations in mainland Europe, the Nordic countries, and Turkey. The first dispatch was on 2 June.
