
Carstairs Junction remodelling enters final phase

Work on the 164 million pound (almost 200 million euros) Carstairs junction remodelling project is entering its endgame. It has been a challenge for Scotland’s Railway, the partnership that administers the network, to keep services moving during the work. The project involves replacing a worn-out section of the railway and has necessitated the diversion of both freight and passenger services.
