RCG launches first connection between Kyiv and Vienna

RCG and Ukrainian Railways sign agreement at Transport logistic 2023

Rail Cargo Group is launching a new connection between Vienna and Kyiv. This is the first connection between Ukraine and the Austrian company’s network in Central Europe. This was revealed at the Transport Logistic fair in Munich today.

The new service will be launched in collaboration with Ukrainian Railways. The service will be first tested in August with the hopes of launching a regular service at the end of that month and will be open for containers and swap bodies. RCG will take care of traction from the Ukrainian-Hungarian border into the European Union. Traction service in Ukraine will be provided by Ukrainian Railways.

2 additional stops

The new connection will have two additional stops in Budapest and Lviv. RCG will also offer trucking services from Budapest and Vienna to the rest of Europe. With this new service, customers will have access to RCG’s maritime, continental, and Eurasian connections.

RCG launches first connection between Kyiv and Vienna
