‘State support for rail freight personnel training is crucial in Italy’

FerMerci, the main Italian rail freight association, is asking the state to facilitate the training of rail workers by funding the courses. The association also recently launched a project to recruit young people in key areas. Italy will soon face a significant labour shortage in the sector due to many workers retiring in the next coming years. RailFreight.com had a chat with FerMerci general manager Giuseppe Rizzi, who explained the association’s request.

Yes, quality pays!
Regrettably, predictive…, at an railway infrastructure, not sustaining to days traffic and speed, disturbing now is plaguing industry and society – and accordingly, urgently calling for a super high quality staff…
This is not sustainable. A shift is needed!
Electrification, yes, but a sustainable, a robust, etc., etc.!
