DB Schenker to transport Olympic equipment to Tokyo
DB Schenker will transport the equipment of the Olympic athletes in Tokyo next year. The Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (BOIC) have extended the cooperation with the logistics service provider.
“We have chosen DB Schenker again because of the excellent cooperation in recent years,” says Rob Vanhees, Marketing & Partnership Manager BOIC. “Our Olympic athletes must be able to rely on their equipment being carefully handled and delivered on time to its destination so that they can fully focus on
their sporting performance.”
Minsk or Tokyo
“The 24/7 service and fine cooperation with DB Schenker gives us the assurance that the transport is well organised, whether it is in Minsk for the European Games or the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo”, Vanhees continued.
Nicole Biesheuvel, Vice President of Fairs, Events & Special Logistics Benelux: “We see this further collaboration as crowning achievement in our work for BOIC. However, this does not mean we are sitting back. We continue to think proactively and to innovate. The logistics landscape and the sports world are constantly changing, and we must respond immediately. That is our added value as a logistics partner.”
