German cabinet approves ‘road funds rail’ scheme

The German Federal Cabinet has approved the draft law allowing truck toll revenue to finance rail projects. These funds are also expected to increase thanks to a higher CO2 fee for trucks and the obligation to pay tolls for trucks from 3,5 tons instead of 7,5 tons.
