CMA CGM Group has announced Rhine Valley Rail, a new rail service connecting the Port of Rotterdam with the German hinterland. The train connections are connected with CMA CGM’s deep-sea services.

Operated in cooperation with TFG, the Rhine Valley Rail service will officially start with its first train departure in Dortmund on 18 October. A total of six departures per week between the Port of Rotterdam and the German inland hubs of Dortmund, Duisburg and Ludwigshafen will be offered.

In Rotterdam, the trains will call at three different terminals (Euromax, RWG and ECT). Moreover, the train schedules are synchronised with the arrivals and departures of the CMA CGM Group’s vessels, providing customers with a seamless connection to the group’s deep-sea services.
