DB carries out successful rehearsal for Frankfurt-Mannheim line closure

On 15 July 2024, a landmark infrastructure upgrade project will begin in Germany. The Frankfurt am Main-Mannheim line, one of the busiest routes in Germany and an integral part of the Rhine-Alpine Corridor, will enter a five-month upgrade phase. In preparation for the works, Deutsche Bahn implemented a route diversion rehearsal that was deemed successful, paving the way for the actual services’ rerouting in the summer.

Upgrading, yes, but offensively, safely to the needed, a high and timely track standard, etc.!
(Goal of EU membership, nearness to a created “domestic” market, shall not be obstructed, as currently – by the railways!)
At a marginal extra, by a shift from STAX22,5 to 32, capacity will be added, at existing tracks.
Current, suboptimal, “optimal maintenance”…, etc. will be reduced, etc., etc.
“On Demand”, strategy of clients, ware owners, decisively shall be met with, as by robust, other modes!
