Kouvola is a traditional hub of cargo and passenger traffic with great connections to every direction. Presently, Kouvola is expanding its logistical reach by building a new, intermodal terminal Kouvola RRT (Rail and Road Terminal). Launching in early 2023, this terminal, the first inland dry port in Finland, will highlight Kouvola’s role as the center for national and international freight transportation. Railgate Finland Ltd. manages and develops Kouvola RRT in accordance with EU’s ‘open access’ principles to function as an intermodal terminal that serves all operators. We administrate the terminal area and lease out the cargo yard and other terminal areas. Railgate Finland Ltd. is a subsidiary of Kouvola Innovation, the business development company of the City of Kouvola.
