These German lines will be renovated over the next 20 months

Deutsche Bahn (DB) has named the railway corridors Hamburg-Berlin and Emmerich-Oberhausen as the two sites where it will carry out major improvement works from late 2024 onwards. The overhaul is part of DB’s ongoing project to renovate Germany’s high-intensity railways, meaning the lines with the highest passenger numbers and freight volumes.

Regrettably, “improving”, just comparatives, is not sufficient, as current infrastructure standards, simply no longer are the optimal.
For Goal, of EU…, of “Shift” to rail…, etc., capacity has to be added – by a decisive upgrading of infrastructure!
(Devastatingly, short comings – by “standards” – now is excuse for extras, “steering” of client – simply, neither is sustainable!
All other modes add load capacity, for lower costs, etc…)
