UK record breaker: from Xi’an to Essex in just two weeks

There’s a new Silk Road express on the rails. Davies Turner, who style themselves as the leading independent UK freight forwarder, have broken their own record for intermodal freight transit between China and the UK. Using a spine rail service between Xi’an and Rotterdam, the company claims to have delivered loaded containers from the historic Chinese city to their Purfleet, Essex, depot in England in just two weeks. They say they have concentrated their specialist consolidated load service on rail via the New Silk Road.
