Digital forwarder FreightHub expands to Netherlands and Belgium
Digital freight forwarder FreightHub expands its business model to the Netherlands and Belgium. The German start-up company focuses on Eurasian traffic for all modalities and claims to be the first completely digital freight forwarder of Europe.
FreightHub offers rail, sea and air freight services but exclusively on a digital platform. Here, it integrates all the shipment procedures such as the booking, delivery and invoices, but also data reports and analyses. The main aim of the company is to provide digital alternatives for old analogue processes.
Reducing costs
“The international transport of freight is costly, especially for small and medium-sized businesses. Companies mainly rely on manual services when it comes to optimising offers, documentation, tracking shipments and solving problems. This results in high costs for storage, adjustments and inefficient employment of staff”, the company explained.
The service provider offers a complete overview of the shipment on one digital platform. More than 1,000 customers have succesfully utlised this platform in Germany, Zwitzerland and Austria and FreightHub is now ready to expand, explained Michael Wax, co-founder and CCO of the company.
