The former coal handling yard at Plumstead in south east London has been acquired by DCRail. The freight operating company is part of the construction and civil engineering Cappagh Group of Companies, responsible for moving everything from sand to boulders and has set its sights on a new distribution hub in the south east of the capital. The Group already has four other rail connected handling sites, including one at Wembley in north London and the award winning facility at Chessington South, which fully opened in 2022.
