DB Cargo UK combines two services in one train

What DB Cargo UK has called a ‘combi-consist’ has been successfully trialled this week. The carrier says they propose combining more than one type of wagon in one block to improve efficiency. With more than a passing nod to the tradition of mixed goods, it opens the doors to less than trainload consists returning and becoming a more familiar sight on the UK rails.
