CER has a new management committee for 2022-2023
CER elected a new management committee on 20 September. The election coincided with the arrival of the Connecting Europe Express in Gdansk and the 68th general assembly of CER.
Andreas Matthä, CEO of ÖBB, will maintain his position as the Community for Railways and Infrastructure Companies (CER) chair for two more years. The vice-chairs of the committee will be Jean-Pierre Farandou CEO of SNCF, Richard Lutz CEO of DB, and Krzysztof Mamiński CEO of PKP.
Stable composition
The management committee did not see any significant changes. It welcomed a new member while the rest remained the same. The members include names like Mantas Bartuška, CEO of Lithuanian Railways, Vincent Ducront, CEO of SBB, Marjan Rittel, CEO of NS, and Marc Wengler, CEO of CFL. In total, together with the chair and vice-chairs, the committee has fifteen members.
Andreas Matthä thanked CER’s general assembly for the trust resulting in his reelection. He underlined that close collaboration between European policymakers and the railway industry is the only growth path.
