Discuss the New Silk Road and modal shift online

Is rail being sidelined by the rapid developments on the road? What is needed to bring about a modal shift on rail? And which bottlenecks does Swinkels Family Brewers face in shifting their tradelane of Bavaria to northern France to rail? These are only some of the topics discussed at the online Multimodal Event Online 2020.

On Thursday, rail dominates the programme of this five-day long event. The modal shift to rail will be discussed by several experts such as Fred Hooft, Global Logistics Manager at Swinkels Family Brewers, Steven Lak, head of lobby group Evofenedex and Hans-Willem Vroon, director of lobby group RailGood.

The New Silk Road is the other topic of focus. The latest developments on this Eurasian rail freight corridor will be discussed, just as the impact on logistics in the Netherlands and other countries. There will be time for discussion afterwards, through the online facilities.

Online networking

Multimodal Event takes place online this year. Nevertheless, there will be networking opportunities. The session about the modal shift takes place from 10:00 till 11:30, with the last half an hour reserved for interaction with the viewers. From 14.00 till 15.30 the New Silk Road session takes place. Sign up and take part in this relevant not-to miss 2020 edition.
