DB Cargo announces new CEO Raimond Stüer

Raimond Stüer has this week officially taken up his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DB Cargo. Mr Stüer, 55, has ultimate responsibility for all German and Europe-wide sales and marketing activities of what is Europe’s largest freight rail operator.

He has a long history in the rail industry, having co-founded the private operator TX Logistik AG in 2000, and established it as a major player in the European rail freight market. As Senior Vice President at Kuehne+Nagel, he was responsible for all global rail and intermodal logistics services.

Experience

Jürgen Wilder, CEO of DB Cargo, said: “We are very pleased to have Mr Stüer as sales and marketing expert on DB Cargo’s board of management. DB Cargo will support its growth path through its extensive experience and network of international and national rail freight transport.”

Part of a five-member board, Mr Stüer took over the role on March 15. He replaces Andreas Busemann, who has left the DB group.
