The deadline for applying to join the Rail Cargo Group’s professional apprenticeship scheme closes on February 28. Young people have just under a week to apply for the RCG scheme which is offering them the opportunity to train as a freight forwarder.

ÖBB, Austria’s national carrier and the parent company of Rail Cargo Group, is one of the country’s largest training companies, and has been looking for 35 apprentices to train as freight forwarders, who are responsible for organising shipments from a manufacturer/producer to a market, customer or final point of distribution.

Facets

Apprentices get to know all of the facets of the profession in a training programme which as well as the technical elements also includes language training, personal development seminars and the opportunity to do internships at one of the Rail Cargo Group’s subsidiaries in Frankfurt/Main, Budapest, Zagreb or Prague.

More information about the scheme and details on how to apply can be found on the  website.

You can also read about the experiences of some of Rail Cargo Group’s apprentices working across Europe via the company blog.
